The Artistic Arts Society is looking for artists for its Superb Artwork Juried Present, Arts & Crafts, Reward Boutique and Unframed Matted Present & Sale held from Oct. 1-21 on the Downriver Council of the Arts, 81 Chestnut St, Wyandotte.
Open to artists 18 years or older. Unique art work and crafts (prints permitted for postcards and be aware playing cards and unframed art work). No industrial molds, patterns or kits, no resale of bought gadgets. Art work won’t be accepted and not using a label with the artist identify, deal with, contact data, title, worth and medium. No modifications accepted after submission. All work should be on the market. The committee reserves the suitable to reject unprepared entries and questionable work. Tables will probably be offered for small gadgets (i.e. jewellery, sculpture, glass, and many others.). Artists are chargeable for their very own insurance coverage. Bins will probably be offered for the unframed matted art work part of the present.
Entry necessities and limitations
Superb Artwork entries: Artists could enter 3 hanging items of art work and/or three-dimensional items below 50 lbs. All hanging art work and 2-D AND 3-D art work will probably be restricted to 160 inches in circumference (together with matte and body). Hanging art work should be framed, wired from hooks at all sides and prepared for hanging. No noticed tooth hangers allowed. Three-dimensional items should be ready for correct show. Footage (bigger than 16×20) should be framed with Plexiglass excluding pastels.
Craft and smaller works, boutique entries: 5 items of bijou or craft gadgets (art work no bigger than 72 inches in circumference). Hanging art work should be framed, wired from hooks at all sides and prepared for hanging. No noticed tooth hangers allowed. Three-dimensional items should be ready for correct show.
Unframed matted art work
All unframed matted art work to not exceed 72 inches in circumference should be in plastic sleeves. Art work will probably be displayed in bins. No copies or prints of Superb Artwork entries.
Supply of art work is from 11 a.m. to midday on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Art work not accepted: All artists should report for jury outcomes and/or pick-up declined art work on the Downriver Council of the Arts from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25. Calls will probably be made to artists if art work just isn’t accepted between 1-2 p.m. to the telephone quantity listed on the appliance.
